What Is Love Exactly?

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  This verse describes the characteristics of true love. These qualities can certainly be found in the person of Jesus Christ, and they can be found in all truly loving relationships. The problem with trying to “find” love in our dating lives, is that too often we don't look for these characteristics. Rather we look at physical appearance, popularity, or wealth. These are not the qualities that God looks at and neither should we.

But the LORD said to Samuel, “…The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action—true love.

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with ACTIONS and in truth.

Christ was devoted to us enough to give his own life for us (Romans 5:8), even when he didn't feel like it (Matthew 26:39).
Sex is not love! Our culture has taught us that sex and love are one in the same. This is a lie. Sex is a beautiful God-given activity that is wonderful when practiced within the boundaries of a Biblical marriage. Sex is the completion of the binding of two people within Biblical marriage; it is a God-given gift.
Because premarital sex is not love, it only leads to pain and disappointment for those who are seeking that love. The Bible says that when two people are married, they become one flesh (Ephesians 5:31). Sex is consummation of that union. When two people break off their relationship after having sex, it is like ripping apart flesh. This is why two teenagers will struggle so much and become so dependent on those they give their bodies to. In light of I Corinthians 13:4-8 (above), it is easy to see that premarital sex is not patient, it is not kind, it does not protect, it is self-seeking. It is not love!

We can only identify true love and know when we have found it, based on the Word of God. When we match our relationships up to what the Bible says that love is—and we are honestly prepared to make a life-long commitment to that person—then we can say that we are truly “in love.” The three keys to that statement are:
We have to…

1. …look at the Word of God
2. …be completely honest with ourselves
3. …understand the level of commitment that comes with true love

For The Families of the 3 unfortunate boys burnt to death in Aluu

It is with a heavy heart that i write this, i am appalled and speechless. the incident happened few days ago but i just heard of it today and i can't bring myself to put up the photos of the bodies been burnt alive here i just pray their soul rest in perfect peace.
for those who do not know about the incident: a few days ago 4 students of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers state were brutally burnt to death alive after severe beaten that left them unconscious. one was said to be still conscious when he was set ablaze and from the pictures and video taken you can see him struggle till he dies.
the shameful part of it is that unlookers, indegenes, police, chiefs sat and watch the event unfold, no one triee to stop it, instead they took photos and videos till those 4 promising children of their parents died in the most painful manner imaginable.
their reason for killing the boys was that they stole phones are laptops, its not my place to say if they did it or not but nothing, i mean nothing, absolutely nothing should make you take another life in this manner.
if you are a mother who say her son's burnt body and watched the video of his murder how would you feel?
what if he's your brother? your boyfriend? my goodness!!!
MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE AND MAY GOD GRANT THEIR FAMILIES THE STRENGTH TO LIVE THROUGH IT.

This week i am going all top 10’s and today we are looking at the top 8 decently dresses women in Nigeria. compiling  based on their personality not just appearance, so do not get worked up by my list. by their personality i mean, their attitude and appearance. its a very tight competition as i just could not figure out how to line them out. Fashion shines out more in decency.

1 Chioma Chukwuka- Akpotha: Actress, wife and mother, very calm personality, respectable and decent in all her movies and outings. she takes first place in my list of decently dressed beautiful women in Nigeria.

  Never ever should a lady be caught dead committing these blunders in dressing. you might not like to follow fashion trends, you might not be wealthy or you may be filthy rich but never, ever let anyone see you not even on your death bed.

A woman over 20 should stay away from pig tails, you know that hair styles that kids and teens love, parking their hair in two separate tails.

Leggings: leggings can never replace trousers no matter how beautiful or fashionable they are, i see a lot of Nigerian women wearing leggings with a very short top! do not wear it as trousers, i.e leggings are meant to be worn with longer tops. my goodness you need to see the shape of their backside and front side in those pants its horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flesh coloured pants: i totally hate and though some have argued with these. i believe and ‘it’ lady should not be caught dead wearing a pants, underwear or leggings that is coloured and designed like your skin. its terrible and embarrassing makes you look like a drawing!

Trainers: no i am not saying do not wear trainers, i am saying do not wear them to work, stroll, or visits. its meant for running alone people! do not be caught dead wearing a pair of trainers to anyway besides running.

Nose Picking: Never let even a house mouse catch you picking your nose! oh my gush its so humiliating when you have been unconsciously picking your nose and you turn around to find someone staring at you with a scowl orrggghhh. no way.

Top 10 must have in a lady’s bag

As a lady of Class, an attractive lady. a purse of hand bag is sort of compulsory. so if you get sweaty, soiled or need to prepare for an emergency meeting. you definitely need a bag.

sometimes your face does not look so good in the noon, especially if you have been under the sun. sweat, perspiration can wash away your makeup or melt it off, making you look like a wrestler! well for us black ladies its worse, for one the sun is deadly and then we walk a lot under it and engage in strenuous activities. for me, noon time is not the best time unless if someone is going to ride me around in a fully air conditioned car. hahaha

topping my list and most essential is:

a mobile phone: in case you get lost or need to contact someone at home. its very important.

a purse: which will essentially contain your debit and credit cards, including notes and cash you will be using.

hair Brush: if it happens to get windy, or you take a bus, cab or bike that left its windows open, your hair can really get messed up. a quick brush when you alight will help.

Tissue or face towel: Nigeria is really dusty and hot, if you are like me who is  not among the first class citizens, always carry a pack of tissue or towel to clean off dust deposits, sweat from the face or clothes before reapplying make up.

lip balm: some lip gloss are so fake they don't last 3 hours, if you have chapped or cracked lips, or you are prone to having them. take a lip balm with you to keep your delicate lips shielded from the rays, soft and smooth.

a pressed or loosed powder: to refresh your face at any time of the day.

Mirror: a small compact mirror can not be over emphasised, so i wont say much.

Lip Gloss

Deodorant

Mint to preserve your fresh breath

A notebook, bic/pen/biro

and any other extra you need.

World’s Most Beautiful Women in the Spotlight
I checked out some really beautiful women in the spotlight and decided to compile my list of the world’s 10 most beautiful women in the spotlight, my list ranges from movies to music, Africa, America and India. now here’s the deal, this list is personal and is arranged in the order of who has the most beautiful face not their personalities.
1 Aishwarya Rai: she is an Indian and American actress, married with a kid and for me, she tops the list. she is just so pretty and I am very particular about her beautiful eyes.

2 Jessica Alba: she is an American actress, I fell for her face in the dance movie titled ‘Honey’ and also the TV series ‘Dark Angel’ she is also married with kids.

3 Rihanna is a Barbados born American Singer and Actress, though I'm not a big fan of some of her lyrics, I did enjoy some of her old music and appreciate her really beautiful face.

4 Nicole Scherzinger: an American singer and lead vocalist of the Pussy Cat Dolls girl band, has a pretty face and body too.

5 Madonna: Actress and singer over 50 years of age and still looking so beautiful, she is a legend in music and rolls with the likes of Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.

6 Hillary Duff A Disney child star all grown, I have watched so much of her movies and music, but pardon because I can’t seem to remember any names now. but she definitely is among the beautiful women.
 
7 Penelope Cruz: American actress, married and has starred in zillions of films from action to family, her bold eyes definitely pushes out her small face, putting her on the list of beautiful women in the spotlight.

8 Genevieve Nnaji: Nigerian Actress, singer and model, she is a single mother of one, rose to stardom in my early years as a child, over 30 and still brightly beautiful as ever, with her little face.

8 Jennifer Lopez: An American actress, singer and fashion model owning her own lines of clothing and perfumes, formerly married to Marc Anthony and a mother of a set of twins.

10 Halle Berry: an American actress, I first saw and liked her in the movie CAT WOMAN, she starred in a lot of Action movies and is married with kids.

Beautiful women are everywhere as much as there are no where, out of every 10 women, you have an equal percentage of finding or not finding beautiful women.

Today it is very important to be counted among the beautiful women, especially if you want to matter and one point of focus i will be using today is food. yes, Food!

What you eat can either increase or decrease your chances of being a beautiful woman.
first in our line of foods that makes beautiful women beautiful is WATER; taking a minimum of six glasses of water daily is the medical recommended dosage, but you don't just drink water, you drink clean and odorless water. make sure the water in your house is treated, boiled and filtered. water helps in hydration which reduces wrinkles, dryness and increases the clarity of your eyes.

next is to take a lot of fruits, beautiful women especially the rich ones are very diligent in fruit taking, and that is one of the reasons they look fresher and calmer. you do not have to be a rich woman to eats healthy fruits daily. spend some cents in buying fruits that are fresh and make sure you wash them before eating. it will helps you with essential vitamins and fiber for a better skin glow, making digestion easier.
to be a beautiful woman, you need to make your daily meals are quality based not quantity, it might not seem like the food makes any change but with consistency you will see a glowing difference, do not forget that overall attractiveness comes from a combination of a good internal system, skin, attitude and appearance.

how to be attractive in pregnancy

pregnancy is one of the most beautiful and fulfilling stage of every woman’s life whether married or un married but also very tasking. in this stage as a woman your body shape begins to change which is not always so very nice to you. you put on weight, get bigger and weaker as an actress once put it “i feel like a host” yes being pregnant makes you a host but not to a parasite but a little pure bundle of joy!

as a woman when you understand and appreciate the joy of being a mother and when you think of the beauty you would hold in your hands at the end of 9 months it becomes worth it! though i do not have a child yet, so it might seem surprising how i understand all this, the answer is, i have a very good imaginative mind!

at the first tri-mister its mostly fun because you and your partner are so excited to have a baby or another baby, so you both handle the vomiting and morning sickness with excitement.

getting to the second tri-mister if you are the type that likes been in control of her body you will start getting frustrated with clothes not fitting and swollen legs and feet, some eat excess while others less. from talks with friends of mine who have crossed that bridge i have come to realize that no matter how excited you are to have a baby there a re times when you just cant take it anymore.below I'll try to list some inconveniences that comes before the joy:

bigger clothes

no more rolling around the bed

food selection and high consumption

mid night cravings, i saw a lady who craved Ben's chocolate 11pm every night!

your face just doesn't look right anymore

you will less attractive to yourself and partner

difficulty to take a good bath standing

these are just a few i could get and I'm sure there are so much more varying from woman to woman

now the essence of this post is how can i be attractive during pregnancy especially when its obvious and bigger.

firstly i would say its a thing of the mind! yes the mind, some women complain ‘I'm so ugly!’ others say I'm like a buffalo’ if think like a buffalo of course you would look like one but if you think like a princess carrying a precious one you will look it trust me.

so the first step in feeling attractive during pregnancy is getting your mind straightened out! appreciate your baby, understand you look that way for a short while so that little cute one will have a chance in this world.

get beautiful colorful maternity wears, don't squeeze yourself in old clothes you will just look terrible, simple short free dresses, dress well to suit your present size.

keep your hair short and clean, i learnt pregnancy makes you allergic to the slightest sense of heat, so get a short hair style the allows ventilation so you don't need to scratch and scratch.

get maternity bras that will fit your pregnancy breast sizes, when you try to squeeze them into old bras, no matter the cloth you wear you breast will look really bad and unattractive.

eat well, whatever you crave or hunger for please take it, when you cravings aren't satisfied you become restless and unsettled.

sleep in well ventilated rooms and take lots of rest. so whenever you are up, you will feel alive and good to go.

engage in exercises daily to sharpen your strength and stamina

NOW MEN!

did you think i would skip them? of course they also have a part to play in making a woman look and feel attractive during pregnancy so if he’s close by let him have a read!

husbands/boyfriends compliment her especially when she really looks good to boost her confidence

buy her nice outfits if you see something you think will fit get it! it shows you appreciate her present size and want to help make it enjoyable

spend time with her and your baby tell and let them know how much you love them both and how you can't wait to have the baby too(honestly!)

supply her needs food or errands

help her out at the bathroom and take her out for evening strolls

together you will both have the most exciting anti-natal period!

attractive men are those group of men with a uniqueness, you cant really define it you only feel and see it. so its almost impossible to learn how to be attractive take note ‘almost’ which means is achievable but ticklish.

despite all an attractive man always stands out from everyone and is easily spotted out, the charisma overwhelms like magnet contrary to women who are considered attractive based on the way they look men attractiveness is mostly measured by his personality and secondly his appearance, his tone and attitude towards kids etc.
